She sold ad space on my first impression

Entered in Week of November 2, 2026

She asked if I'd wear a plain jacket to our first date. I'm a guy with exactly one decent jacket, so this seemed like an easy request. At the bar, she produced removable patches. One said “Ask me about artisan mustard.” Another advertised her friend's candle sale. She explained that she'd sold sponsorships to offset her “dating overhead.” I laughed until she tried to stick mustard on my chest. Apparently I was the presenting partner. She wanted me to mention the mustard naturally three times during dinner and pose holding a jar. I asked what happened if I didn't. She consulted her phone and said she'd have to issue make-goods. Then she introduced me to the bartender as “a man who values bold flavor.” I took off the patch and left before ordering. She texted asking whether I'd at least record an apology to the sponsors. I said no. My first relationship boundary came with an advertiser refund.
